2024 14U Tryouts
For the first time in several years, we will be holding tryouts for our 2024 14U Majors team on Wednesday, July 12th at 6:30pm Sunday, July 23rd at 5pm at our field in Salem, Oregon.

Tryouts will be held at Hoda Field in Salem, OR on Wednesday, July 12th from 6:30pm-8:30pm and Sunday, July 23rd from 5pm-7pm. Please select the day that works best for you.
To help us better prepare for the tryout, we are asking players to pre-register by filling out and submitting the form below.

We will be holding tryouts on two dates to give players the option to attend whichever date works best for them: Wednesday, July 12th from 6:30pm-8:30pm and Sunday, July 23 from 5pm-7pm at Hoda Field, 621 Hylo Rd. SE, Salem OR 97306. Players can choose to attend whichever date works best for them.

We will be playing 9-10 tournaments at the 14U Majors level in 2024. Most tournaments will be local to the Portland Metro Area, but we will have 1-2 travel tournaments requiring flights and 2-3 tournaments requiring 3-4 hour drives from the Salem or Portland Metro area/s. We will be playing WCP, NW Nations and Perfect Game tournaments. We will also be scrimmaging on weekends without tournaments and when we are able to schedule on weekdays around practices and school.
Optional winter work-outs begin January. Weekly mandatory team practices and optional additional trainings begin in March with the season ending in July. Our 14U Majors team will be competitive and players are not guaranteed any playing time.

Players must not turn 15 before May 1st, 2024 to play 14U Majors in 2024.

We are looking for all positions, and for athletes who can play multiple positions around the field. We are also open to POs and always can use more kids who are able to catch.

We are committed to developing players and helping each of them reach their fullest potential both on and off the field.
While on the field we compete at the highest level in our age bracket. We teach confidence, winning attitudes, process, managing failure, professionalism, strategy and preparation, energy and being a great teammate.
Off the field we emphasize academics, leadership, communication skills, accountability, character, honesty, appreciation and work ethic.
We accomplish all of this with outstanding leadership from our coaches and mentors as well as engaged parents.
Players and parents will be asked to sign our Player and Parent Code of Conduct Contract .

No. While several of our team members are from Salem, we also have kids on the team from the Portland area as well as from Eugene.

We have hired two coaches to run our team, Zachary Wallace and Marzel Brown. In addition, Joe Hoda will continue his role as General Manager of the team.

We are estimating 2024 team costs to be $1000. This will include tournament fees, paid coaching positions, 2 jerseys/hats and team insurance.
